KBFD Radio

KBFD is a privately owned and funded radio station,  with one mission, giving the people of the world, a music radio station that is completely different than anything heard on AM or FM. We have thrown the corporate radio rules away, and play great music mixed together from many different genres. We, the Dee Jay's pick what we want to play from our massive music library each day.  It is the way pioneer FM stations were programmed, basically with no "rules", so you never know what you're going to hear.  Rock concerts, special programming, interviews with the greatest Rock artists of all time, or even an hour of Country music or Jazz played when you least expect it.  But mostly, just a great mix or hits and "B sides" from a lot of different genres mixed together.  Old music and new music too.  The "Super Groups" and local artists.

KBFD first went on the air in April of 2004 as a low power Part 15 FM serving the small community of Sunset Beach, Oregon after starting as an Internet station a year earlier.  The FM and Internet stations quickly gained a loyal following by "word of mouth" to friends in nearby Beach communities, not to mention our bumper sticker campaign.  After 14 years of broadcasting and netcasting out of our garage, we sold the home so the FM went off the air.  Here on this website we bring you fine alternative music programing through the links on our home page as the spirit of the original KBFD continues right here and on the air for those lucky folks listening in Walnut Grove!

A small wire "Dipole" antenna that can be purchased at Radio Shack for a couple of bucks can improve your reception of the station.
